Most people don't know, but every hygrometer should be calibrated, how else do you know if it is accurate? Up until now, after you calibrated your hygrometer you had to remember how "off" the reading was from actual humidity. In 2005 I came up with a simple idea. Create a digital hygrometer that can not only be calibrated, but can easily be adjusted after calibration. Simply perform the 75% salt test using our One-Step Calibration Kit or the salt in a bag test, adjust to the correct humidity, press the set button, and your HygroSet is calibrated and ready to go!

Functional but a bit flimsy and old tech

I appreciate being able to calibrate the humidity reading. However, for half the price you can get a more modern hygrometer (e.g. ThermoPro TP157 is my favourite) with the same accuracy (+/-2% RH) that uses AAA, not coin cell, and everything is better built. I did a salt test on a 4-pack of TP and they were all the same 2% low, so I just wrote than on the side, calibration done.

Very inexpensive and super accurate
Easy to adjust it took me a couple of times to calibrate it but once I got the right setting worked flalessly. Highly recommend it if you don't have one 👍
